When booking your engagement session with me, I love to help plan the perfect session for you and your partner. Step one in this planning process is the helpful guide I send over to you full of tips and tricks, outfit inspiration, local Kansas City location ideas, and more. Kyle and Katy are perfect examples of a couple who intentionally read the guide and went with the suggestions the guide laid out. They wanted their engagement session to be fun, beautiful, and ultimately surrounded by places that meant something to their relationship. The couple only lives a few miles from the Plaza so we started not only close to home but where they had some of their first dates.
During our communications, I suggested a few places where the light would be just right and they suggested a few places that were important to them like O'dowds, JC Nichols Memorial Fountain, and Harry's Bar in Westport. Katy and Kyle took so much ownership over their session but also gave me the creative space I needed to make some photo magic, and that's exactly the result of our session... MAGIC! These engagement photos embody everything that is them; fun, silly, obsessed with each other, beautiful, casual, sweet, and most importantly that at home with one another kind of feeling. The collaboration between photographer and couple was the ultimate recipe for success for this fall engagement session around the Country Club Plaza in downtown Kansas City.
